How the One Day Room Makeover Works:

Andrea Lauren Elegant Interiors will begin with an in-home complimentary consultation during which we will discuss your style, goals, and most important, the function of the room or space. We will discuss and identify any concerns, take photos, and measurements of the space.

We will also listen to how you and your family use this space on a daily basis so that the complete room make over will not just be beautiful, elegant, and relaxing but functional.

On the day of the scheduled room make over you go off to work or “play!!” while our trained staff begins the incredible transformation.

It starts with a careful emptying of the room, after which the furnishings are placed with the optimal arrangement to suit the architecture of the room. Artwork, wall décor, area rug placement, accent lighting and lastly decorative accessories are carefully placed for a new and exciting look. We will search for hidden treasures from throughout your home and make them come alive in your new designer room.

Our creative designers/decorators are able to combine and display your favorite items, old or new, modest or expensive, purchased or inherited, in ways you would have never imagined. We will transform the ordinary into extraordinary where you can proudly invite your family and friends to enjoy that beautiful, relaxing, and welcoming room.

If you are searching for creative ways to stylize your beach house, here is one little tip you can use:

Pick a theme, and add touches through dishes, glassware, tablecloths, and accessories. The beach is a natural inspiration at this time of year. Place gorgeous shells on the serving buffet and tables, and coordinate tablecloths and napkins in shades of coral, sea green and blue.

You can collect the shells yourself, or you can head on down to the shore and pick up any number of beautiful shells that have washed up onto the sand.

If you live near the Tampa area, one wonderful place to find shells is Honeymoon Island.  For those of you who live in the Tampa area, this local treasure is about a 45 minute drive. If you are in town for vacation, this stop is a must along your Florida journey.  Trust me, it’s completely worth it. 

To find the best shells, make sure to arrive at 8 a.m. when the park first opens.  The early birds gets the shell as they say! The cost to enter the island is $8 per vehicle, or you can purchase an annual pass for $120 that will get you into any state park in Florida for the entire year. 

Wherever you locate your shells, once you get them home you can place them in a glass dish as a centerpiece, or fill up hurricane glasses to add a beachy accent to your home.

Here is a little tip for you teenagers out there looking to add a little flair to your bedroom.  Your room is your sanctuary.  You want it to have that perfect atmosphere where you can just kick up your feet, turn on your favorite song and just be yourself, so get creative, all the while keeping up with the latest trends.
